What Are Spade Blinds?

A spade blind, also referred to as a paddle blind, is made from a solid metal disc with a thin length of metal attached to one end to serve as a handle. At Hydro Blind, we craft our spade blinds from stainless steel for increased durability. Spade blinds are typically used as a temporary blocking device to stop flow in a process piping system and are an ideal choice when space is tight or access may be limited, however they are more commonly used for larger pipe diameters. Since spade blinds are lightweight, they are a portable choice that is easy to install. Our spade blinds range in dimension from 1/2″ to 90″ allowing for increased versatility. We also offer paddle-type spacer sets to be used in-line for returning your system to operation.
